Police say that a suspect shot a flaregun into the Arlington neighborhood on Monday evening. The explosion shook an entire neighborhood.
A shocking video shows the collapse of a home and its explosion into flames. Debris is thrown more than two storeys into the air. Police were looking for someone who had set off flares near Ballston.
According to the police department, three officers sustained minor injuries. However, they were not transported to hospital. The authorities said that at a press conference, they were not aware of any other injuries.
The suspect is still unidentified.
Around 4:45 pm, police were notified of reports that a man was firing a flare-gun from his home located in the 800 Block of N. Burlington Street. Authorities said that the suspect shot between 30 to 40 flares from his home in the 800 block of N. Burlington Street.
Soon after 8:30 pm, officers attempted to carry out a search warrant. Authorities claim that the suspect fired several bullets “from what was believed to be an firearm”
The police obtained a warrant for a home search and tried to reach the suspect via phone and speaker, but the man remained in the house without answering, the officers said.

A man who lived in the vicinity said, “You could hear the noise of the commotion.” “I have lived here for over 50 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like it.”
